Basketball Recap: Marietta Blue Devils vs. Etowah Eagles
Marietta was the 39-37 winner over Etowah when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Marietta Blue Devils fell just short of the Etowah Eagles by a score of 53-51 on Friday. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Marietta saw an underclassman step up: freshman Leah DeWitt went 10-for-21 to rack up 30 points. DeWitt is becoming a predictor of Marietta's success: when she posts at least 25 points the team is 11-5 (and 4-8 when she doesn't).
