Mize will head out to face off against Brandon at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mize is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Mize made easy work of North Forrest and carried off a 9-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Garrison Carrell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Parker Himmel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Trey Myers, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Mize lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Brandon started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Oak Grove. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Like Mize, Brandon also got a great game from a two-way player: Jay McQueen. He tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. McQueen was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
McQueen wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Keith Forbes, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Mize's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Brandon, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.
