Softball Recap: Cactus Shadows Snaps 11-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Arcadia last Thursday, Cactus Shadows came back down to earth. Cactus Shadows came up short against the Coconino Panthers on Saturday, falling 11-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Falcons have suffered since March 13th.

Cactus Shadows saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gianna Lucchesi, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Cactus Shadows' defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-9. As for Coconino, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

Looking ahead, Cactus Shadows will challenge Saguaro at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cactus Shadows will need to watch out since Saguaro has now posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups. As for Coconino, they will take on Mohave at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Coconino's pitchers better be ready for this one: Mohave has averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
