Football Recap: London Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact London can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 53-12 loss at the hands of the Llano Yellowjackets. The Pirates were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the five games prior), but the Yellowjackets' defense proved too tough.

Alex Manning threw for 188 yards and one touchdown. Colton Wiseman was his top target, picking up 56 receiving yards.

Cole Landers was his usual excellent self, rushing for 180 yards and one TD while picking up 11.3 yards per carry for Llano. Landers showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 51 yards. Another player making a difference was Luke Davis, who threw for 132 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes.

London moved to 7-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Llano, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

London does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Llano, they will face off against Goliad at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
