Softball Recap: Berea Takes a Loss

After flying high against Burgin two weeks ago, Berea came back down to earth. The Pirates lost 12-1 to the Lincoln County Patriots on Tuesday. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Berea's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Lincoln County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berea will square off against Lexington Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lincoln County, they will challenge Rockcastle County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for the Patriots: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Rockets have snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
