Volleyball Recap: Golden West Takes a Loss

Golden West lost against Porterville back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Trailblazers lost 3-0 to the Panthers. The Trailblazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Golden West was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 17 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-17.

Raegan Garland paced Golden West's offense, picking up six kills. Garland got some help from Regan Morris and her eight assists.

Golden West's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Porterville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Golden West and Mt. Whitney will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Porterville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Redwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
