Baseball Game Preview: Fairfield Knights vs. York County Tech Spartans

The Fairfield Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the York County Tech Spartans at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Fairfield and four for York County Tech.

Fairfield came up short against Biglerville on Tuesday, falling 8-2. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly six runs.

Fairfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Liller, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Littlestown hit York County Tech with a 11-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Spartans lost 15-4 to the Thunderbolts.

Brody Dedrick was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Jacob Combs was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-14-1. As for York County Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Fairfield came out on top in a nail-biter against York County Tech when the teams last played on April 9th, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
