Baseball Recap: Cajon Comes Up Short

If Cajon was feeling good fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Redlands last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cowboys lost 7-1 to the Citrus Valley Blackhawks on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blackhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-6 on April 1st.

Cajon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Koster, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Cajon's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Citrus Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season.

While Cajon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
