Volleyball Recap: Bayside Academy Find Success

While Bayside Academy's win against West Point wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Admirals narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Warriors 2-1. The Admirals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors on Saturday, too.

Bayside Academy found their leader in freshman Ansley Weller, who had 16 digs. Those 16 digs set a new season-high mark for Weller. Farrah Lane also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Bayside Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive matchups.

Bayside Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for West Point, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Bayside Academy has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Prattville on the 30th. As for West Point, they will face off against Cullman at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
