Baseball Recap: Lakeway Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Chuckey-Doak

Lakeway Christian Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Chuckey-Doak on Tuesday. Everything went the Lakeway Christian Academy Lions' way against the Chuckey-Doak Black Knights as the Lakeway Christian Academy Lions made off with a 12-1 win. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Black Knights, too.

Landon Holmes spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, Hudson Ford was a standout: he scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Brock Mauk, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4.

Lakeway Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chuckey-Doak only posted an OBP of .360.
