Baseball Recap: Maranatha Christian Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Maranatha Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Classical Academy Caimans 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted against the Caimans since May 10, 2023.

Maranatha Christian's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Matthias Hardy, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Those three hits gave Hardy a new career-high. Cody Baltgalvis also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Maranatha Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-14. As for Classical Academy, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-8.

Maranatha Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-4 loss against Bishop's on the 14th. As for Classical Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 12-2 victory against Ridgeview on the 14th.
