Volleyball Recap: Hillsboro's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hillsboro waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Axtell Longhorns.

Charlee Mack paced Hillsboro's offense, picking up 14 kills. Mack got some help from Cloe Creech and her 20 assists. Finally, Arrya Garrett kept Hillsboro's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Hillsboro's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Axtell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Hillsboro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Southwest on the 28th. As for Axtell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Covington on the 30th.
