Baseball Recap: Gardner Comes Up Short

Gardner lost against Ayer Shirley back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats fell 6-2 to the Panthers. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gardner now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Ayer Shirley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Looking ahead, Gardner will square off against St. Bernard's Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bernardians have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Ayer Shirley, they will challenge Lunenburg at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
