Football Recap: Wapello Falls Short of Lynnville-Sully in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wapello can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Lynnville-Sully Hawks. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Gavin Fisk was nothing short of spectacular for Lynnville-Sully: he rushed for 138 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Deal, who threw for 104 yards and two TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes.

Wapello is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4. As for Lynnville-Sully, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Wapello does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lynnville-Sully, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on B-G-M on November 7. The Hawks will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least 31 points in their last five games.
