White Plains waltzed into their game on Sunday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Eastchester Eagles. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Alexis Tighe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, White Plains' victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Noelle Quinones, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double. That's the most hits Quinones has posted since back in April.

White Plains' win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Eastchester, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

As of now, neither White Plains nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
