Basketball Game Preview: King & Queen Central Royal Tigers vs. Rappahannock Raiders

King & Queen Central is 0-10 against Rappahannock since December of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. Having just played yesterday, the King & Queen Central Royal Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Rappahannock Raiders at 8:00 p.m. King & Queen Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season.

On Tuesday, King & Queen Central strolled past Charles City with points to spare, taking the game 55-41.

King & Queen Central relied on the efforts of Gerard Hill, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 boards, and Ayden Gibson, who posted 19 points and five rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Hill has scored at least a third of King & Queen Central's points.

Meanwhile, Rappahannock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Middlesex an easy 68-45 victory. The Raiders were down 56-34 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Rappahannock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for King & Queen Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

King & Queen Central took a serious blow against Rappahannock in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 74-44. Can King & Queen Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
