Volleyball Game Preview: Big Walnut Golden Eagles vs. Walnut Ridge Scots

The Big Walnut Golden Eagles will square off against the Walnut Ridge Scots at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Big Walnut will be strutting in after a victory while Walnut Ridge will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Big Walnut turned things around against Westerville Central on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Warhawks 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Eagles have posted since April 1st.

Big Walnut was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (109-107), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 19-25, 22-25, 16-14.

Meanwhile, Walnut Ridge came up short against West back in April and fell 3-1.

While Walnut Ridge ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 19-25, 25-20.

Big Walnut's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Walnut Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
