Basketball Recap: Yousef Ihmud's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Chino over Los Altos

Chino made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Los Altos, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cowboys fell just short of the Conquerors by a score of 71-69 on Thursday. The Cowboys have struggled against the Conquerors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Several Cowboys players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Yousef Ihmud, who posted 16 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Treston Davis was another key player, putting up 17 points and six rebounds.

Chino's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Los Altos, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Chino has already played their next game, a 72-64 defeat against California on the 22nd. As for Los Altos, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 76-67 victory against Esperanza on the 22nd.
