Baseball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Lovington's Winning Streak

After flying high against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent last Saturday, Lovington came back down to earth. The Wildcats came up short against the Roswell Coyotes on Thursday, falling 13-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

The defeat snapped Lovington's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-6 record. As for Roswell, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.

Coming up, Lovington will face off against Eunice at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Roswell, they will venture away from home to take on Santa Fe at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Demons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.36 runs per game on average), something the Coyotes will no doubt try to take advantage of.
