Volleyball Recap: Bayfront Charter Takes a Loss

After flying high against Monarch on Thursday, Bayfront Charter came back down to earth. The Sharks fell just short of the Gompers Prep Academy Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Bayfront Charter has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Gompers Prep Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bayfront Charter will host Health Sciences at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Gompers Prep Academy, they will square off against San Diego Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
