Pomeroy piles up the points against Dayton

The Pomeroy Pirates waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with ten straight wins but they left with 11. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Dayton 64-16 at home. Pomeroy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 26 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pomeroy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyzer Herres, who scored 11 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Trace Roberts, who scored 15 points.

Pomeroy pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Dayton, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Pomeroy will head out on the road to square off against Oakesdale at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Oakesdale is ranked 178th, while Pomeroy is ranked 172nd). As for Dayton, they will be playing at home against Prescott at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Prescott is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
