Recap: Oakwood Eagles vs. Northeast Academy Eagles
This season hasn't been kind to the Oakwood Eagles, who are still winless after their 14th game. They fell to Northeast Academy 34-29. Oakwood was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Northeast Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Northeast Academy's win on Monday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jake Parks, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and five assists. Parks hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Judson Smith, who scored 12 points along with six steals.
Oakwood bumped their record down to 0-14 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road. As for Northeast Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-12.
Oakwood will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Northeast Academy, they will be playing at home against Ridgecroft at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
