Softball Recap: Lincoln County Comes Up Short

Lincoln County entered their match against Needles on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Lincoln County fell just short of Needles by a score of 6-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lynx of the 11-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Lincoln County's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-6. As for Needles, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season.

While Lincoln County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
