Football Game Preview: Benjamin Davis Falcons vs. Westfield Mustangs + How To Watch

Benjamin Davis hasn't had much luck against Westfield recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Falcons will look to defend their home field against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Benjamin Davis' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Aldine to the tune of 49-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their seven-point performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, Westfield entered their tilt with MacArthur on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They really took it to the Generals for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-7 win. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Generals are ranked 850th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Benjamin Davis better keep an eye on Demonte Ford. He was instrumental in Westfield's win, rushing for 174 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries. Those 174 rushing yards gave Ford a new career-high.

Westfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 256 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Benjamin Davis' victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Westfield, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-3.

Things could have been worse for Benjamin Davis, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 24-10 loss to Westfield in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Falcons, Miles Dent (who threw for 122 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 88 yards on only 11 carries) won't be suiting up this time.
