Basketball Recap: Compass Academy Comes Up Short

Compass Academy lost against Wink back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Compass Academy fell 62-52 to the Wink Wildcats. Compass Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wink got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Abram Bell out in front who went 6 for 10 on his way to 13 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Tally, who posted eight points along with five boards and three steals.

Compass Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Wink, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Compass Academy will face off against Midland Classical Academy at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wink, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wink Wildcats challenge the Klondike Cougars at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Wink's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
