Softball Recap: Safford Bulldogs vs. Catalina Trojans

Safford can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Catalina Trojans with a sharp 16-1 win. The victory was just what Safford needed coming off of a 13-0 defeat in their prior contest.

The team relied heavily on Kiersten Taylor, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Marley Jurado, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Safford's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11. As for Catalina, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Safford didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-4 defeat vs. Tanque Verde on the 3rd. As for Catalina, they will be playing at home against Thatcher at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
