Baseball Recap: New Hope Has No Trouble Against Clarksdale

New Hope's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Clarksdale Wildcats as they made off with a 7-1 victory. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

New Hope has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Clarksdale, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Clarksdale will face off against Corinth at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Hope will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' contest: after the Wildcats faces off against the Warriors, they'll take on New Hope again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
