 Mendota can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game  on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hall Red Devils  and snuck past  9-8. The  win was just what Mendota needed coming off of  a  17-5 defeat in their prior  match.
  Madelyn Becker and  Sydney Tolley did most of the damage at the plate:  Becker  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while  Tolley  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emily Diaz, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-3.
 On Hall's side, they got a  massive  performance out of  Ava Delphi, who  went 1-for-4 with a  home run and three  RBI.  Kennedy Wozniak was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Mendota's victory  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 1-3. As for Hall, they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-8.
 Mendota will have a chance to go back-to-back against Hall: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
