Basketball Recap: Lone Star Comes Up Short

Lone Star's tournament run continued when they took on Texas Lions Academy on Friday. The Rangers fell 59-50 to the Lions. The Rangers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Texas Lions Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brian Stewart, who went 6-for-14 en route to 22 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Clark, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.

Lone Star's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Texas Lions Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

Lone Star didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-61 loss against La Porte on the 13th. As for Texas Lions Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 54-53 defeat against Barbers Hill on the 13th.
