Volleyball Recap: Great Bend Panthers vs. Goddard Lions
Great Bend had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Goddard Lions by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their 26th in a row.
Cassie Ellegood paced Great Bend's offense, picking up ten kills. Ellegood got some help from
Kya Behr and her 24 assists. Behr was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Great Bend pushed their record up to 34-2 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home. As for Goddard, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-20 record this season.
Great Bend has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Valley Center on the 26th. Goddard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
