Baseball Game Preview: Carlisle Indians vs. Waskom Wildcats

For the second straight game, Carlisle will face off against Waskom. The Indians are taking a road trip to face off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Having struggled with nine defeats in a row, Carlisle turned things around against Waskom on Tuesday. They blew past the Wildcats 11-1. The Indians not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 27th.

Carlisle got a massive performance out of Preston Armstrong, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Armstrong a new career-high. Brandon Garza was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Carlisle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Waskom has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Carlisle, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 5-14.
