Softball Game Preview: Maple Heights Mustangs vs. Euclid Panthers

The Maple Heights Mustangs are taking a road trip to square off against the Euclid Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maple Heights has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Maple Heights came up short against Rhodes on Monday, falling 14-1. The Mustangs have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Angel Weems made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in both of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Euclid challenged Cleveland Heights on Monday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 17-5 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Euclid moved to 7-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Maple Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
