Soccer Recap: Bayonne Comes Up Short

Bayonne lost against Union City back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bees took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Soaring Eagles. While losing is never fun, Bayonne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 256th, while Union City are ranked 48th).

Bayonne has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8-2 record this season. As for Union City, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

Coming up, Bayonne will take on St. Peter's Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Union City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
