Baseball Recap: Coronado Triumphs

Coronado posted their closest victory since April 1st on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Foothill Falcons 11-9. Considering the Cougars' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The team relied heavily on Drew Steffen, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Milano Bradley, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Coronado was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They are 6-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Coronado's record is now 10-17. As for Foothill, their record now sits at 17-8-1.

Looking ahead, Coronado will venture away from home to square off against Arbor View at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Foothill, they will welcome Rancho at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
