Volleyball Recap: Leesville Road Comes Up Short

Leesville Road was the 3-0 winner over Jordan when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pride fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. While the Pride didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 25-17 in the first set.

Leesville Road actually scored more points across those five sets (99-95), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-20, 25-21, 13-25, 15-8.

When it comes to explaining why Leesville Road lost, don't look at Taylor Pasternak. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and four aces.

Jordan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evelyn Greene led the charge by getting 18 digs and three aces.

Leesville Road's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Leesville Road has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Heritage on the 18th. As for Jordan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against West Forsyth on the 15th.
