Softball Recap: Ferndale Golden Eagles vs. Meridian Trojans
Ferndale's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Meridian Trojans by a score of 11-8. That's more bragging rights for Ferndale, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Mallory Butenschoen made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk).
