Volleyball Recap: Gordon Central Comes Up Short

Gordon Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Adairsville Tigers. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13.

Tristina Mitchell paced Gordon Central's offense, picking up four kills. Mitchell got some help from Baylee Chastain and her five assists. Finally, Kinsleigh Massengill kept Gordon Central's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Gordon Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Adairsville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Gordon Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Southeast Whitfield County on the 16th. As for Adairsville, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Pickens on the 16th.
