Volleyball Game Preview: Northwest Lions vs. Lindbergh Flyers

Northwest hasn't had much luck against Lindbergh recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Lions will head out on the road to take on the Flyers at 5:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Northwest didn't have quite enough to beat Kirkwood and fell 3-2.

Northwest took Kirkwood into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 11-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-17, 20-25, 25-21, 15-4.

Meanwhile, Lindbergh faced Fort Zumwalt West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Flyers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Jaguars. The win was familiar territory for the Flyers, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Lindbergh's victory bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Northwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11-1.

Northwest couldn't quite get it done against Lindbergh in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 2-0. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
