Basketball Recap: Fox Chapel Falls Short of Central Catholic in the Playoffs

Fox Chapel and Central Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Fox Chapel had to settle for second. They took a 52-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Catholic Vikings. The Foxes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Fox Chapel's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Kaiser, who posted 13 points and six assists. That's the most assists Kaiser has posted since back in February of 2024. Ike Moser was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 11 points.

Fox Chapel's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Central Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.
