Volleyball Game Preview: Notre Dame Prep Saints vs. Horizon Huskies

The Notre Dame Prep Saints will face off against the Horizon Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Notre Dame Prep is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Chaparral, who was ranked eighth at the time (Notre Dame Prep was ranked 16th). The Saints came up short against the Firebirds on Monday, falling 3-0. The Saints' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Horizon entered their tilt with Desert Mountain on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wolves.

Horizon was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-14, 25-21.

Notre Dame Prep better focus on containing Tessa Caldwell and Nia Tinsley as the pair were huge in Horizon's win. Caldwell had eight digs and two assists, while Tinsley had eight kills and five digs. What's more, Tinsley posted three assists, the most she's had over her last 11 matchups.

Notre Dame Prep's loss dropped their record down to 20-11. As for Horizon, their win bumped their record up to 18-10.
