Basketball Recap: Aidan Mayfield and Amir Drummond Secure Win for Bensalem

After losing to Pennsbury the last time they met, Bensalem decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bensalem Fighting Owls strolled past the Pennsbury Falcons with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 57-39. That 18 point margin sets a new team best for the Fighting Owls this season.

Bensalem was led to victory by Amir Drummond and Aidan Mayfield. Drummond almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine assists, while Mayfield posted 14 points and seven boards. The contest was Drummond's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Eberhardt, who earned 11 points.

Bensalem pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Pennsbury, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bensalem will host Harry S. Truman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bensalem is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season. As for Pennsbury, they will welcome Neshaminy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
