Basketball Recap: Sports Leadership & Management Skates Past Village Academy with Ease

While Sports Leadership & Management didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Village Academy Tigers, posting a 91-24 win. The Giants' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leading Sports Leadership & Management to victory were Dennis Pierre Jr. and Mason Plewinski. Pierre Jr. dropped a double-double on 35 points and 12 assists, while Plewinski almost dropped a double-double on 34 points and nine assists. Plewinski's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Ng, who posted seven points along with 14 rebounds and five steals.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Sports Leadership & Management, bringing their record for this year to 4-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for Village Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Sports Leadership & Management didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-34 win against Abundant Life Christian Academy on the 9th. As for Village Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 79-33 defeat against Berean Christian on the 6th.
