Football Game Preview: Colonial Forge Eagles vs. Gar-Field Red Wolves + How To Watch

Colonial Forge is a perfect 3-0 against Gar-Field since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will take on the Red Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Colonial Forge will be strutting in after a victory while Gar-Field will be coming in after a loss.

Colonial Forge is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 55-14 win over Massaponax. With the Eagles ahead 42-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Colonial Forge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brock Brimhall, who threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. What's more, Brimhall racked up 159.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September. Landon Sharpe was Brimhall's top target, picking up zero receiving yards.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 42-14, which was the final score in Gar-Field's tilt against Woodbridge on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red Wolves have suffered against the Vikings since November 2, 2018.

Colonial Forge will have to contain Warren Freeman as he made an impact in Gar-Field's last game. He rushed for 179 yards and one TD on only 13 carries. With that strong performance, Freeman is now averaging an impressive 123.3 rushing yards per game.

Colonial Forge pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.7 points on average over those games. As for Gar-Field, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Everything came up roses for Colonial Forge against Gar-Field when the teams last played back in November of 2019, as the squad secured a 40-0 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Red Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
