Lakeland's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Susquehanna Sabers, posting a 42-7 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-0.

Lakeland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was David Naniewicz out in front who threw for 196 yards and two TDs on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 65 yards and one touchdown. Naniewicz's longest rush was for an impressive 57 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Gavin Roberts was another key player, rushing for 70 yards and a pair of scores.

Lakeland's record now sits at 4-1. As for Susquehanna, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Lakeland will head out to challenge Dunmore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bucks' defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so the Chiefs' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Susquehanna, they will be playing at home against Riverside at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
