Softball Game Preview: Scripps Ranch Falcons vs. Carlsbad Lancers

The Scripps Ranch Falcons will challenge the Carlsbad Lancers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Scripps Ranch saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of San Dieguito Academy by a score of 7-5.

Sienna Cole was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Eme Ledbetter, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, Carlsbad lost 20-1 to Poway on Saturday. The Lancers haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Carlsbad saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Lehman, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Scripps Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Carlsbad, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Scripps Ranch came up short against Carlsbad in their previous matchup back in May of 2016, falling 6-1. Can Scripps Ranch avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
