Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Wolverines vs. Castle View Sabercats
Chaparral was the 3-1 winner over Castle View when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolverines fell just short of the Sabercats by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cameron Beasley paced Chaparral's offense, picking up 12 kills. Beasley got some help from Ryan Carrizales and his 25 assists. Finally, Luke Vigil kept Chaparral's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
Among those leading the charge was Talus Frederick, who had 14 digs. That's the most digs he has posted since back in March.
Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Castle View, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-5 record.
Chaparral wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against The Vanguard School on the 12th. As for Castle View, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Regis Jesuit on the 12th.
