Football Recap: Whitesboro Bearcats vs. Palmer Bulldogs
It was a good run, but Whitesboro unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 41-33 to the Palmer Bulldogs.
Several Bearcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Colt Fagan, who rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 213 yards and a touchdown. Fagan is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Whitesboro also got help from Brayden Bomar, who showed off his sure hands for 110 receiving yards.
It was another big night for Eric Cisneros, who rushed for 241 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 135 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes for Palmer. Those 241 rushing yards gave Cisneros a new career-high.
Whitesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Palmer, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Whitesboro is taking a road trip to face off against A Plus Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
