Volleyball Recap: Flower Mound Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Byron Nelson

Flower Mound faced Byron Nelson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Jaguars fell 2-0 to the Bobcat. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Bobcat recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

ALEAH EDMOND paced Flower Mound's offense, picking up five kills. EDMOND got some help from HAYDEN CURTIS and her 11 assists. Finally, GELI ST. LAURENT kept Flower Mound's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Leading Byron Nelson to victory were Savannah Sterna and Sophee Peterson. Sterna had 11 digs and four assists, while Peterson hit 75% for six kills and 22 assists and nine digs. Peterson is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 57 games she's played dating back to last season.

Flower Mound's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Byron Nelson, the win keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.
