Salina Central's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the South Cougars. The Mustangs were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Cougars, so the Mustangs were just returning the favor.

Salina Central didn't let South take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22.

McKynlee Dunlap paced Salina Central's offense, picking up seven kills. Dunlap got some help from Elizabeth Howard and her 11 assists. Howard also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Grace Ostmeyer, each putting up two.

Salina Central's win bumped their record up to 18-11. As for South, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-14-1.

Salina Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Junction City on the 14th. As for South, they will face off against Maize South at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
