Softball Recap: Red Wing Wingers vs. Lake City Tigers

Red Wing couldn't beat Lake City on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Wingers fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 7-6. The Wingers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Stella Johnson was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). Johnson was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs.

In other batting news, Khloe Prall was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Isabella Guetzlaff, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Red Wing's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lake City, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.
